Remember still the rain washed hill,
The wakened and the clear,
The dappled light of morning bright
And all the songs of yesteryear.
As I arise to watch the skies,
The cloudborn and the blue,
My heart is light as yesterday,
As yesterday with you.
And though I know not where you go,
Or wheresoere you are,
I still recall how dawn’s swift fall
Outreached the morning star.
How by my side you watched the tide
Break slowly o’er the sand,
And wheeling high, the seagull’s cry
Broke up the placid land.
